A phone number for your CV while job hunting
Your number is on your CV, out in the world, being called by recruiters during meetings at your current job.
What a call sounds like
Hello, you've reached Jordan's line. How can I help?
I'm calling from Northwind about the engineering role.
Jordan's in a meeting. Can I take your name and the best time to call back?
Priya, any time after four.
Thank you Priya. Jordan will call after four.
You call recruiters back on your terms, not in a meeting.
Setting it up
Put the second number on your CV. Set hours to lunchtime and evenings; outside them it takes a message with who called and about what.
Everything above is configured in the app under Settings › Your Agent. Your assistant uses what you tell it on every call — so the more it knows about job hunting work, the fewer calls come back to you.
Why not just give out your own number?
Because you can't take it back. A second line is a number you can hand out freely, hang up on, and release if it ever attracts the wrong attention — while your personal number stays with the people who already have it.
